About Me

Hello! My name is Juno and I am an Assistant Language Teacher in rural Japan.

An Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) is a native speaker or fluent speaker of English to accompany the English teachers in Japanese public schools. Despite the title of teacher, at the moment I do very little teaching and feel more like a human tape recorder, but we are getting there!

My placement is quite rural, with nothing but villages within a 45min drive. I work at the only remaining middle school and elementary school, which have less than 200 kids combined.
